10:00 AM: Two Times Lotte (Das doppelte Lottchen) - Josef von Baky, 1950

  • Based on the novel by Erich Kästner. "The Parent Trap" is based on this film.

12:30 PM: Presentation of Awards to Short Film Contest Winners and screening of winning films.Add user

1:00 PM: Jacob the Liar (Jakob der Lügner) - Frank Beyer, 1974

  • Based on the novel by Jurek Becker. Set in a Jewish ghetto during the Third Reich. The main character, Jacob, tells a simple lie, from which a complex plot ensues. 

2:45 PM: Esterhazy - Izabela Plucinska, 2009

  • Based on the story by Hans Magnus Enzensberger. A modern fairy tale, set around the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall. A young rabbit, Esterhazy, heads to Berlin to seek his fortune and his bride.

3:15 PM: Puss in Boots (Der gestiefelte Kater) - Christian Theede, 2009

  • Based on the fairytale by the Brothers Grimm.

4:30 PM: Krabat - Marco Kreuzpainter, 2006

  • Based on the novel by Otfried Preußler. Set in the Middle Ages. An orphan boy arrives at a mill, where he becomes an apprentice. He learns that the mill is also an academy for dark magic.
