    • Gabriele Riedle, Max Kade Distinguished Visiting Professor in the German Department, is an award-winning German writer and reporter with extensive experience covering global conflicts. Riedle will discuss the implications of representing violent conflict in text, photography, and film, as well as the realities of daily life as a war reporter.
